For Individuals, Couples, and Families

Hours/Rates

** Please Remember **
Provide
at least 24-hours notice to cancel/reschedule to avoid “late cancellation” fee 🙂

HOURS

In-person session times are offered late morning to late afternoon on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Individual sessions are typically 60 minutes,* including 5-10 minutes for check-in and check-out.

*Intake & Assessment sessions and other sessions that involve specialized treatments such as TIR/LSR techniques, EFT couples work, and other in-depth treatment work, may take longer than an hour and will be billed extra at 15-minute intervals — but only with your prior understanding and approval.

Please note that with some issues, more can be accomplished in a 1 ½ to 2-hour session than can be accomplished in two 1-hour sessions… accommodating (not interrupting) your processing time is key to your wellness.

You are welcome to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to determine whether we are a good match for therapy to begin.

RATES

Individual Session: $140*
Couples or Family Session: $150*
Late Cancellation Fee: $100/$200**

PAYMENT

e-Transfer / Cash
(usually submitted prior to session so that sessions end with a focus on you! …unless a longer session of undetermined length has been scheduled)

Please Note:

Fees for counselling/psychotherapy are not currently covered by MSP, however, my services as an RSW (who is considered a health care professional and recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as a "medical practitioner") can be claimed as a medical expense with your personal income tax. Also, many employees and their partners and/or family members have some coverage for services through their employer-based health insurance plans (Employee Assistance Program - EAP) and/or extended health plans that recognize Registered Social Workers (RSWs) or Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs). Please make inquiries with your insurance provider.

I am a First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) approved therapist. Please click on the link to determine your eligibility and the process on how to access Mental Health Benefits through FNHA. I am also an approved service provider for Nisga’a citizens through the Off Core Lands (OCL) psychological services program (please contact me for how this process works).

I am also a qualified provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), as well as ICBC, for those who are eligible for benefits under these programs. Please click on program names (above) to be directed to more information. ⚠️Please note: I have limited spaces for these programs and may not always be able to accommodate new referrals.⚠️

*Current rates are based on the 2021 BCACC Recommended Fee Range (link: Fee Schedule Survey). Fees have been kept on the lower end of the recommended range to ensure affordability to this area’s diverse community.

In cases of financial hardship and/or no insurance/benefits, I will be happy to discuss a time-limited reduced fee option with you providing I have spaces open for this offering (“Late Cancellation Fee” policy will still apply).

**Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule an appointment any time, as long as you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice (though more notice is preferred). If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, a cancellation fee of $100 is immediately due for a 1-hour session AND $200 is immediately due for a 2-hour session. If this occurs more than once within a month, the full session fee will be charged as per session time booked. I understand that life happens and appointments can become inconvenient, or missed altogether — however, with less than a full 24-hour notice, I likely won’t be able to fill that session time with someone who has been waiting, and I will also lose that time from my work schedule.
